The clinical challenge

Treat a symptom, or identify its origin?

In everyday practice, a symptom is often managed without its origin having been formally analysed. The DAC offers practitioners a method for analysing the auricle in order to structure this diagnostic reasoning and integrate it into their practice.

« A method of analysis for connecting what is observed on the ear to coherent clinical reasoning. »

The method

The DAC — Causal Auricular Diagnosis

« A method for analysing the auricle that aims to identify the origin of imbalances in order to build structured clinical reasoning. »

A method developed by Dr Nadia Volf, MD, PhD — taught in the AcuSeminars training programmes.

1

Read

Map and read the marks on the auricle.

2

3

4

Structure

Build a coherent, well-argued therapeutic strategy.

What you will be able to do

A skill directly applicable in your practice

This training programme is designed to develop professional skills. It does not guarantee any individual clinical outcome and is not a substitute for the practitioner's own judgement.

  • Read the marks on the auricle using a structured mapping
  • Locate the active points of cause and of symptom
  • Relate these observations to well-argued clinical reasoning
  • Structure a coherent therapeutic strategy
