The teaching approach

Passing on a method, beyond techniques

The teaching offered by AcuSeminars is not limited to learning protocols. It is grounded in the study of physiological mechanisms, so that practitioners can adapt their reasoning to each clinical situation, according to their own judgement.

At the heart of this teaching: the DAC (Causal Auricular Diagnosis^®), a method of analysing the auricle that aims to identify the origin of imbalances in order to build structured clinical reasoning. The programmes combine theoretical teaching, clinical cases and supervised practice.

A framework presented with restraint. The content is presented for educational purposes, on the basis of the available scientific evidence. The programmes aim at the acquisition of professional skills; they do not guarantee any individual clinical outcome and are not a substitute for the practitioner's own judgement.

Dr Nadia Volf

MD, PhD — Educational director of the AcuSeminars programmes

Doctor of medicine (MD) and doctor of science (PhD), Dr Nadia Volf has devoted her work to the study of acupuncture and to understanding its mechanisms of action through a scientific approach. She developed the DAC (Causal Auricular Diagnosis) and is the educational director of the training programmes organised by AcuSeminars.

Dr Mona Dinari

Classical Chinese medicine · Ophthalmology

Co-founder of the Classical Chinese Medicine Clinic of Los Angeles, where she developed an integrative approach combining acupuncture, herbology, essential oils and energetic work. Trained notably with Dr Jeffrey Yuen, she has spent more than 16 years deepening her study of classical Chinese medicine across several specialities — ophthalmology, gynaecology, psychology and Taoist philosophy.

Now a professor of Chinese medicine in the United States, she teaches a rigorous, holistic approach centred on a fine understanding of the body's mechanisms and on treatment and prevention strategies. Her teaching approaches ophthalmology as a gateway to a global reading of the patient, integrating diagnosis and management.

David Euler

Japanese acupuncture · Nagano and Kiiko Matsumoto methods

An international expert in modern Japanese acupuncture and its integration with traditional Chinese medicine and Western medical approaches. For more than 20 years, he has developed a method based on palpation and abdominal diagnosis, supporting structured assessment and personalised treatment strategies; he is also the author of reference works on the subject.

A training co-director and teacher, notably at Harvard Medical School, he is known for a clear, pragmatic teaching style focused on techniques that are directly applicable in practice.
